The XXX International Course
on Oil Palm Cultivation

ASD maintains the tradition of organizing courses on oil palm cultivation for its clients around the world. The XXX International Course was particularly important because we had a record participation (38 students), which made us to feel proud; since this was interpreted as an endorsement to our efforts to offer a well organized activity of great quality.

During all these years, about 1092 students have come from 22 countries to participate in this activity. Most participants were agronomist, since the emphasis of the course is on agronomic aspects. These people have shared with us their problems and we have tried to give a helping hand by offering all the accumulated experience gathered though more than 60 years with the oil palm crop. Besides agronomists, we have also welcomed many entrepreneurs, administrators and people working for governments interested in the oil palm activity. All these people have learned with us more of the crop with which they work or will eventually do, so the expected social and economical benefits will be achieved when they go back to work on their respective projects. We have received them all with great joy and have created long lasting friendship and business relations. The photographs illustrate part of the many activities celebrated during our last course, held in July.
