The XXIX International Course on the Cultivation of Oil Palm
Last July, the XXIX International Course on Oil Palm Cultivation was held in the town of Coto. This course had special importance, since it was the first one held in the new ASD facilities, where the administrative buildings, the seed processing unit, and the tissue culture and molecular biology laboratories are located.
We had the participation of 24 students from nine countries, who spent three weeks sharing knowledge with the instructors and field staff. The experience for both parties was very valuable, since the staff of ASD and its sister company Palma Tica had an opportunity to teach as well as learn from such distinguished visitors.
