i)     Observation plots, to BC1: 14-40 palms, to RC1F2: 20-25 palms; to RC2F1: two trials, 20-40 palms; to BC3, one trial, 20-48 palms.

ii)    Honey Comb Design, Fasoulas (1976) and Sterling, et al (1991), to BC1F1 x Eg, 12-30 palmsfor each cross.

iii)   Randomized blocks design to BC1F1, two reps and 15 palms per rep; to BC2, with 4 reps, 20 palms per rep; to BC2F1, one trial with 3 reps and 12 palms per rep, one second trial with 4 reps and 12 palms per rep; and to BC3, one trial with 3 reps and 12 palms per rep.

iv)   In Honduras 1995 one trial semicommercial of 25 ha, in randomized blocks design, with a density of 160 palms/ha, with 7 reps and 12 palms per plot (84 palms per cross).
