Tanzania x Ekona (Special Variety)

The female lines of this variety were developed in Costa Rica using material originated from the highlands of Tanzania near Lake Victoria (altitudes of 800 - 900 meters above sea level) The palms from Tanzania are very tolerant to low temperatures and their fruits have large kernels with very thin shells.
